In the end, though, they are unable to end the conflict, and the battle ends with no clear winner.
Throughout the episode, we see glimpses of the toll that the war is taking on everyone involved. Meyrin struggles with her loyalty to her brother versus her desire for peace, while Kira grapples with the weight of being a powerful weapon in a seemingly endless conflict. Meanwhile, Orb's citizens continue to suffer, caught in the crossfire between the two armies.
