Ep 4. Mr. Monk Can't See a Thing

In the fifth season of Monk, we find the iconic detective in yet another tricky situation in Mr. Monk Can't See a Thing, the fourth episode of the season. When a wealthy man is found murdered in his home, the police turn to Monk for help in solving the case. However, there's one major problem: Monk has gone completely blind.

From his obsession with cleanliness and order, to his intense fear of germs and dirt, Monk's character is always memorable and entertaining. Even when he's blind, Monk manages to find new ways to express his neuroses, providing plenty of laughs for viewers.

One of the most impressive things about Mr. Monk Can't See a Thing is the way it uses the blindness plotline to explore themes of perception and truth. Without his sight, Monk is forced to rely on his other senses and his intuition in order to solve the case. In doing so, he discovers that sometimes the truth is hiding in plain sight, and that our perceptions can be deceiving.
