Ep 1. Escape to the Wild

In Mountain Men season 6 episode 1, titled “Escape to the Wild,” viewers are introduced to three new survivalists who have opted to leave their modern lives behind and set out to live off the grid in the wilds of Alaska. Next we meet Tyler and Ashley, a couple in their 20s who have traded their 9-5 jobs for a life of adventure and unpredictability in the Alaskan wilderness. They arrive at their new remote location with nothing but a tent and a determination to live off the land. They set out on foot to explore their new surroundings and learn how to hunt, fish, and forage for food. As they encounter new wildlife, such as bears, they must learn how to protect themselves and their food supply. As they build their camp and navigate the wilderness, they discover the satisfying feeling of being completely self-sufficient and relying only on each other for survival.

The final survivalist we meet is Brant, a former rodeo cowboy who feels most alive when he's out in nature. He arrives in Alaska with nothing but the clothes on his back and a backpack full of survival gear. He quickly sets out to learn how to navigate the wilderness, starting with building a basic shelter to protect himself from the elements. As he acclimates to the environment, he takes on the challenge of hunting and fishing for his own food. As he catches a fresh salmon from a nearby river, he realizes that he has everything he needs to survive right at his fingertips.

Throughout the episode, viewers get a glimpse into the daily challenges and triumphs of each survivalist as they navigate the rugged terrain and adapt to life off the grid. From building their shelters from scratch to forging new relationships with the wildlife around them, each journey is unique and inspiring.
