Ep 9. The Cut

In Mountain Men season 6 episode 9 titled "The Cut," the real-life adventurers and survivalists continue to brave the wilderness and take on the challenges of living off the grid. With winter fast approaching, the Mountain Men are faced with a race against time to prepare for the unforgiving climate.

In Montana, Marty Meierotto is still recovering from his run-in with a grizzly bear. Despite his injuries, he needs to get his trapping lines up and running before the winter freeze sets in. With only a few days left to make his way through treacherous terrain, Marty must push himself to his limits to get the job done. Meanwhile, Tom Oar is gearing up for another arduous trek into the backwoods to pick up where he left off clearing a road for his son's property.

Further south in North Carolina, Eustace Conway has enlisted some local help to clear out the remainder of his property, but they're not used to the primitive living style that he requires. Eustace has to teach them everything from cooking over an open flame to felling trees by hand. He hopes that with their help, he'll be able to complete his cabin for the winter.

In Alaska, Charlie Tucker has resorted to using a handsaw to fell his trees. It's a time-consuming and labor-intensive process that's holding him back from getting his cabin finished before the snow falls. With his makeshift sawing rig struggling to make the cut, he may be forced to come up with another solution, or risk getting snowed in before his shelter is complete.

Finally, Morgan Beasley is trying his hand at a new style of hunting that he's never done before. He's after a beaver that's been wreaking havoc on his property, and it's a challenging quarry to pursue. Morgan has to be quick and nimble to outsmart the wily rodent, and even then he may not succeed.

As always, the Mountain Men are pushing themselves to their limits in the pursuit of self-sufficiency and living off the land. The Cut is a thrilling and action-packed episode that showcases the toughness and tenacity of these true-life adventurers.
