Ep 8. The Grafton Monster

In Mountain Monsters season 1 episode 8, entitled "The Grafton Monster," the Appalachian Investigators of Mysterious Sightings (AIMS) team heads to Grafton, West Virginia in search of a legendary creature known as the Grafton Monster. The team has received reports from locals claiming to have seen a massive creature with glowing eyes, a hairy body, and a loud roar that can be heard from miles away.

The team splits up into pairs to conduct interviews with witnesses and gather more information about the monster. Jeff and Willy interview a farmer who claims to have seen the creature while out working in his fields. He describes the monster as being over eight feet tall, with a red face and a thick, furry body. Buck and Huckleberry interview a local historian who has researched the monster and believes it may be a remnant of an ancient Native American tribe that once inhabited the area.

After gathering enough information, the team sets out to capture the monster using a trap that they designed specifically for this creature. The trap is a large cage made out of steel bars and covered in camouflage to blend in with the surrounding forest. The trap is baited with a pig carcass to attract the monster.

As night falls, the team begins to hear strange noises coming from the forest. They hear loud footsteps, grunts, and snorts, all coming closer and closer to their base camp. Suddenly, the Grafton Monster appears out of the darkness, charging directly at the team. The members scatter to avoid the creature as it charges into the trap, triggering its capture.

The team is ecstatic to have finally captured the Grafton Monster, but they quickly realize that this is no ordinary creature. The Grafton Monster is extremely powerful and has the strength of several men. Its roar is deafening and can be heard for miles. The team struggles to contain the monster, but they eventually are able to transport it to a secure location for further investigation.

The season 1 finale concludes with the team attempting to unravel the mystery of the Grafton Monster's origin and discover the truth about its existence. The team studies the creature's biology, behavior, and history, and begins to uncover the truth about this legendary monster.
