My Classic Car is an automotive show that explores classic and vintage cars, providing in-depth and informative coverage of their restoration, maintenance, and upkeep. The season 21, episode 20 of My Classic Car is titled Dodge Trucks.
In this episode, the host, Dennis Gage, sets out to discover some of the best restored Dodge trucks from years gone by. He starts off by meeting with Paul Prewitt, a Dodge truck enthusiast who owns a restored 1941 Dodge Power Wagon. Scarbinsky talks about the restoration process of this classic truck, highlighting the challenges that they faced in the restoration. He explains that they had to source many parts, which were difficult to find, and some parts had to be custom made. Despite the challenges, the end result is a stunning truck that Scarbinsky is rightfully proud of.
Moving on, Gage heads to the shop of Rick Dore, an automotive designer who has worked on numerous cars and trucks over the years. Gage and Dore talk about Dore's passion for designing and building custom vehicles and get an up-close look at some of his previous truck projects. Dore even takes Gage for a ride in his very own custom-made 1957 Dodge D100 truck, which is a sight to behold.
The next stop on Gage's journey is to meet with Phil Currin, who owns a beautifully restored 1947 Dodge WC12 army truck. Currin takes Gage through the history of the truck, explaining its use during wartime and how it ended up in his possession. Despite its military background, the truck has since been refurbished and now looks like a unique investment with all the bells and whistles of a vintage Dodge truck.
Lastly, Gage meets with John Gallo, who owns a 1955 Dodge C3 pickup truck. Gallo talks about some of the customizations that he has made to the truck, including a beautiful paint job and upgraded engine. Gallo also talks about his plans to take the truck along the historic Route 66, which will surely be an exciting adventure.
Throughout the episode, there are plenty of insights provided into the restoration process and the passion that owners have for their Dodge trucks, which are considered timeless classics.
