Mysteries at the Museum is back with a thrilling second season that takes us on a journey to unravel some of the most intriguing mysteries in history. In episode four, titled French Connection, Shipwrecked Gold, Area 51 Plane Crash, our host Don Wildman brings to life three amazing stories that will leave you with your jaw dropped throughout the episode.

The first mystery that Don explores is the French Connection. This tale revolves around the notorious French criminal organization that smuggled heroin into the US in the 1960s and 1970s. Don takes us to the Museum of the American Gangster in New York City, where he presents the camera with a variety of artifacts, including a wiretap microphone that was used by the DEA to eavesdrop on the French Connection. Don tells us how the wiretap was one of the key pieces of evidence that eventually led to the French Connection's downfall.

Next, we follow Don on his quest to learn about the Shipwrecked Gold. Here, our focus shifts to the Mystic Seaport Museum in Connecticut. Don walks us through the exhibit that displays a recovery process of some of the most expensive treasures lost at sea. The exhibit shows us how an amazing amount of gold was recovered from the ship Diana, which had sunk off the coast of South Africa in the 19th century. Don and his team explore the history of the ship, the people onboard, and how the gold was discovered and recovered. The exhibit has numerous artifacts, including a treasure chest, gold coins, and historic photographs of the recovery process.

Lastly, Don lands in the deserts of Nevada to explore the third mystery, the Area 51 Plane Crash. Here he takes us inside the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, to investigate a crash that occurred in the 1950s at the infamous Area 51 military base. Don shows us various military planes and describes their purpose while showcasing some that have very unusual uses. Then follows up with the story of the crash of a spy plane known as the A-12 Blackbird. Don details how this particular aircraft was a top-secret airforce project and what happened the moment it crashed. With his exploration, he explains the significance of this particular operation and why it was such an important piece of American intelligence-gathering history.

Mysteries at the Museum, French Connection, Shipwrecked Gold, Area 51 Plane Crash leaves a thrilling experience in the viewer's mind.
