Rayna Jaymes' legacy lives on as her loved ones try to make sense of her sudden death. Maddie and Daphne struggle to come to terms with her passing and continue on with their lives. Deacon is taking Rayna's death especially hard and feels lost without her. Meanwhile, Juliette is still recovering from her traumatic plane crash and is grappling with the reality of her injuries. As she tries to regain her physical strength, she must also address the emotional scars left behind. Scarlett tries to find solace in music and writes a new song with Gunnar, but their creative process is hindered by personal issues. Will becomes increasingly frustrated with his lack of personal fulfillment and embarks on a new career path. Meanwhile, a newcomer to the Nashville music scene, Zach Welles, enters the picture and shakes things up with his bold ideas and style.
