The Thanatos have reproduced at such an alarming rate due to the fire that burned down the Hidamari mansion. Now that there are so many of them the sun has not been visible for the last six months. Most people are blaming this on the Aube Hunters but they have been missing along with Angelique since the fire. Erenfried and Jet have a meeting with the Religious Leader because they have designed a new Jinx that they claim will destroy all these new Thanatos. They promise they will build the new Jinx on the condition that Yorgo's life is spared.
