It features a whole range of topics from the latest fashion trends to celebrity interviews, entertainment, food and cooking, arts, social events, beauty, and news revolving around the tri-state area, meaning New York City. The show has a lighter and unpretentious tone. It is more relaxed when compared to the daily serious news programs that are featured earlier on in the day. New York Live is more or less a departure from serious news reporting for those viewers taking their time to get to work, working from home, or working the late shifts. It is an alternative to watching soaps and any other fluffy daytime shows. The show also runs with a focus on various local content to help sell New York City to viewers outside the state.
