In NO-RIN season 1 episode 2, titled "E 2", we see the continuation of the story of Kousaku Hata, a high school student who dreams of becoming a farmer, and his interactions with his new classmate and famous pop idol, Ringo Kinoshita.
The episode begins with Kousaku and Ringo arriving at their school's agriculture club, where they are greeted by their enthusiastic club leader, Kei Kamatori. Kei is excited to show Kousaku and Ringo around the club's greenhouse, where they grow vegetables and fruits.
While in the greenhouse, Kousaku impresses Ringo with his knowledge of farming and the different types of plants they're growing. However, things take a turn for the worse when Kei accidentally spills a fertilizer on Ringo's beloved pet rabbit, Maro.
Ringo is understandably upset and demands that Kei fix the situation. Kousaku steps in and offers to take care of Maro himself, as he has experience with animals on his family farm. Ringo is grateful for Kousaku's help, and they make plans for him to take Maro home with him after school.
As Kousaku and Ringo walk home after school, they run into Kousaku's childhood friend, Minori Nakazawa. Minori is surprised to see Kousaku with Ringo and keeps her distance. Kousaku tries to talk to her, but she brushes him off and walks away.
Later that evening, Kousaku takes Maro home with him and sets up a makeshift shelter for him in his room. He spends the night taking care of the rabbit, much to the chagrin of his mother, who is not happy about having a rabbit in the house.
The next day, Kousaku brings Maro back to school and reunites him with Ringo. Ringo is happy to see that Maro is okay and thanks Kousaku for taking care of him.
The episode ends with Kousaku and Ringo making plans to work on the agriculture club's upcoming harvest festival together.
Overall, episode 2 of NO-RIN is a pleasant continuation of the series, with more focus on Kousaku and Ringo's budding friendship and the agriculture club. The episode also introduces some new characters and teases at some potential future conflicts. Fans of slice-of-life anime and farming will enjoy this episode.
