Ep 18. Where Bluebirds Fly

Emma Swan is a bail bonds collector who has been on the move her entire life, following in the footsteps of her disreputable parents. However, when Henry, the son she gave up for adoption a decade ago, turns up on her doorstep asking for help, Emma finds that she has finally found something worth fighting for. Together, they travel to the sleepy town of Storybrooke, Maine, where magic and fairy tales are very real. The town's residents – Snow White and Prince Charming, the Evil Queen, Rumplestiltskin, and Hook, among others – are all characters from classic fairy tales who have been trapped here by a curse, and Henry believes that Emma is the only one who can save them from their eternal torment.

In Once Upon a Time season 6 episode 18, titled "Where Bluebirds Fly," we find Emma and Hook on a mission to reunite an adult Gideon with his mother, the Black Fairy. The Black Fairy is the once beautiful and magical Blue Fairy, who succumbed to darkness and became the most feared villain in all the realms. As they fight for survival, the heroes soon realize that they may have to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to defeat the Black Fairy and save their loved ones.
