Ep 18. The Pawn Before Christmas

In season 12 episode 18 of Pawn Stars, entitled "The Pawn Before Christmas," the holiday season is in full swing at the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas. The episode starts out with Rick and Corey perusing a collection of rare Christmas cards from the mid-1800s. The owner is asking for a high price, so they need to carefully consider whether to make an offer.

Next, a woman brings in an antique toy car that she claims belonged to her grandfather. It's in great condition and has all its original parts, but the guys need to do some research to determine its true value. Meanwhile, Chumlee is on a mission to find the perfect gift for his girlfriend, but nothing seems to be going as planned.

As the day goes on, the shop starts to get busier and more festive. A couple brings in a vintage snowmobile from the 1950s, but they're not sure if it still runs. Rick and Corey take a closer look and try to start it up, but it seems to be missing some crucial parts. Will they be able to make a deal anyway?

Finally, the guys are presented with a piece of rock 'n' roll history: a leather jacket that belonged to John Lennon. The owner has a letter of authentication and is asking for a whopping $100,000. Rick brings in an expert to examine the jacket and verify its authenticity. It's a tense moment as they wait for the results.

Throughout the episode, we see the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop decorated for the holidays, complete with Christmas lights and a tree. The guys are in good spirits and seem to be enjoying the holiday cheer. But as always, their main concern is making shrewd deals and finding hidden treasures. "The Pawn Before Christmas" is an entertaining and festive episode that showcases the unique items that come through the pawn shop, as well as the personalities of the colorful cast of characters who run it.
