Ep 2. Party on, Pawn

In the second episode of the twelfth season of Pawn Stars titled "Party on, Pawn," the Pawn Stars are back with more intriguing transactions and negotiations. It’s all about the 70’s when a seller brings in a vintage skateboard from the era of Bell bottoms and polyester shirts. The skateboard definitely brings up some nostalgia for Chumlee, but the question is, will it make him open his wallet? Although the price tag might be hefty, this groovy skateboard could make them a profit in the long run.

Next up, Corey gets to check out a Royal Canadian Mounted Police uniform from the 1950s. The outfit is complete with the iconic red jacket, campaign hat, and breeches. But, when the uniform comes with a backstory, and is also autographed by Sergeants Preston and King, the Pawn Stars must decide whether the paperwork’s provenance is enough to make it worth the price.

Meanwhile, Rick gets a taste of nostalgia from one of his childhood favorites, Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. While the robots may have seen better days, Rick can't resist taking a look and pondering whether they would make a good addition to his collection. Additionally, Corey falls in love with an 1880's Edison phonograph and the seller's original collection of wax cylinder recordings by famous composers of the time. Although the phonograph is ornate and the cylinders date back over a century, Corey must think about the value of the discography as well as the rarity of the phonograph.

Finally, a seller brings in a 1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible. The car is in great condition and could be driven off the lot if the Pawn Stars make a deal. The car’s features and unique design, combined with its popularity in the 60s make it an attractive addition to any car collection. Rick’s passion for classic cars is evident in this episode as he assesses the car’s worth, which ultimately determines the outcome of this transaction.

As always, the Pawn Stars must balance their desire to obtain unique or historic items while also maintaining a profitable business. Whether it's through bartering, joking around or some friendly negotiations, the Pawn Stars do whatever they can to keep their customers and their family business in the black.
