In the fifth season of History Channel's hit series Pawn Stars, episode two, titled "Patriot Games," we see the Harrison family and their team of experts grapple with some intriguing historical artifacts.

The episode kicks off with Rick Harrison, the owner of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, receiving a call from a man claiming to have a Revolutionary War-era document signed by the founding father, John Hancock. Rick is immediately intrigued, as he knows that original documents from this time period are extremely rare and valuable. He arranges to meet with the seller and brings in his colleague and fellow expert, Rebecca Romney, to authenticate the letter.

Meanwhile, Chumlee is tasked with appraising a different type of historical artifact - a Revolutionary War-era musket. The owner claims that the gun was used in the Battle of Bunker Hill, one of the most significant battles of the American Revolution. Chumlee, ever the jokester, dons a tricorn hat and begins to playact as a Revolutionary War soldier, complete with mock battle cries. However, his humorous antics are quickly put aside as he examines the musket and tries to determine its authenticity.

Later in the episode, we see Rick and Rebecca examine the John Hancock letter more closely. They discuss the language used in the letter, as well as the authenticity of the signature. Rebecca points out that there are many fakes out there, but she believes that this document is the real deal. Rick offers the seller a price, but it's clear that the seller thinks the letter is worth a lot more. Negotiations ensue, and it remains unclear whether Rick and the seller will come to an agreement.

Finally, we see Corey Harrison and his father, Rick, take a look at a unique piece of pop culture history - an original script from the hit TV series M*A*S*H. The script is from the final episode of the show and includes handwritten notes from the actors and crew. Corey and Rick geek out over the script, discussing their favorite moments from the show and the significance of its ending. They eventually settle on a price with the seller, who is clearly thrilled to have his unique piece of TV history find a new home.

Throughout "Patriot Games," we see the Pawn Stars team use their expertise and knowledge to examine and appraise some truly unique items. Whether it's a historical document, a vintage firearm, or a piece of pop culture memorabilia, the team approaches each item with curiosity and enthusiasm. Their passion is infectious, and viewers are sure to be captivated by the stories behind these fascinating artifacts.
