In season 5 episode 8 of Pawn Stars titled "Pony Up," the Harrison family and their team of experts encounter a range of fascinating items including a rare 1800s Colt revolver, a 2009 Gibson Les Paul guitar signed by rock legend Slash, and a bronze statue of a cowboy on horseback.

The first item to catch the eye of the Pawn Stars team is the Colt revolver. The seller explains that it has a unique engraving on the barrel, indicating that it was potentially a presentation piece or a prototype. Rick is intrigued and decides to bring in Colt expert Steve for a closer look. Steve confirms that the gun is indeed a rare prototype and could be worth as much as $75,000. However, with the delicate engraving, it would be difficult to sell the gun, so Rick has to decide if the risk is worth it.

Next, a customer brings in the Gibson Les Paul guitar signed by Slash. The seller claims that he won the guitar in a radio contest and has no use for it as he is not a musician. Corey calls in vintage guitar expert Jesse to appraise the item. Jesse confirms that it is a genuine Gibson Les Paul and could be worth as much as $10,000, but the signature and the fact that it's not a vintage guitar mean that it won't fetch top dollar. The seller is disappointed with the low appraisal and decides to take the guitar home instead of selling it to the shop.

Finally, a customer brings in a bronze statue of a cowboy on horseback. The seller explains that it has been in his family for generations and he has no idea where it came from. Rick brings in art expert Brett to determine the statue's origins. Brett identifies the statue as a piece by famous American sculptor Charles Marion Russell and estimates that it could be worth as much as $50,000. However, without any provenance to confirm the statue's history, it's difficult to sell it for such a high price. The seller decides to take the statue back home and do more research on its past.

Throughout the episode, viewers also get to see some of the unique items that are part of the pawn shop's permanent collection, including a set of handcuffs used by Harry Houdini, a vintage neon sign from the Stardust Casino, and a 1970s Harley Davidson motorcycle.

As always, the Pawn Stars team uses their expertise to determine the value of each item and negotiate with sellers to ensure a fair deal for everyone involved. "Pony Up" is a fascinating episode that showcases the variety of items that come through the doors of the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and the expertise of the team members who evaluate them.
