PowerNation: Truck Tech is a TV show that is dedicated to those who love trucks and cars and everything related to them. In season 1 episode 1, the episode is named 4x4 Altitude and it is all about taking a 2014 Chevy Silverado and making it even more off-road ready than it was before.
The show starts by introducing the two hosts, LT and Austin, who will be working on the truck. LT has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry and has worked on everything from hot rods to off-road vehicles. Austin is the younger of the two and is relatively new to the scene but has a lot of passion for cars and trucks.
The team starts their work by taking apart the truck and looking at what needs to be done. They want the truck to be able to handle even the toughest off-road trails and to do that, they need to make a few modifications.
First up is the suspension. The truck's factory suspension is good, but it could be better. The team installs a new 6-inch lift kit which will give the truck more ground clearance and allow it to handle larger tires. They also upgrade the shocks which will help give the truck a smoother ride on and off-road.
Next up is the tires. The team installs a set of 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires which will help the truck grip the terrain better and give it even more ground clearance.
The team then moves on to the truck's drivetrain. They begin by installing a new air intake system which will help the engine breathe better and produce more horsepower. They also install a new exhaust system which will help the engine breathe easier and give it a deeper, more aggressive sound.
To help the truck handle even the most extreme conditions, the team installs some skid plates which will protect the undercarriage of the truck from rocks and other obstacles.
Finally, the team installs a new winch which will allow the truck to pull itself out of sticky situations.
Throughout the entire process, LT and Austin explain what they are doing and why they are doing it. They give tips and tricks to the viewers at home who may be interested in doing similar upgrades to their own trucks.
Once everything is installed, it's time to take the truck out for a test drive. The team takes the truck up to a nearby mountain where they put it to the test on some rough terrain. The truck performs beautifully, climbing over rocks and navigating through tight turns with ease.
Overall, the first episode of PowerNation: Truck Tech is a great introduction to the show and what it's all about. It's a perfect mix of education and entertainment and will leave viewers excited for what's to come.
