Rental Magica Season 1 Episode 10 Tears of the Homunculus

In Rental Magica season 1 episode 10, titled "Tears of the Homunculus", the Astral members head back to the headquarters only to find a mysterious figure waiting for them. This figure introduces himself as Guelph and he claims to be a former member of Astral. Later, Honami, Adelicia, and Mikan head to a remote location in search of the alchemist, leaving Itsuki behind to research and gather information on Guelph. They eventually find the alchemist's hideout and infiltrate into it. There, they discover rows of homunculi jars which the alchemist has made, and Honami accidentally knocks down one of the jars which causes a homunculus to be created. The group is then attacked by the homunculi and Honami finds herself captured by the alchemist.

Meanwhile, Itsuki learns the truth about Guelph's father. He was once a proud member of Astral who wanted to create homunculi for the benefit of mankind but his research was deemed too dangerous and was forbidden. This led him to leave Astral and continue his experiments, which eventually caused his death. Itsuki also figures out that Guelph himself is a homunculus created by his father.

Guelph finally comes around and decides to help Astral, revealing that he had been keeping an eye on the alchemist and knows how to stop him. He leads Itsuki and the others to the alchemist's hideout, where they engage in a dogfight with homunculi. They eventually make their way to the alchemist's chamber, where they find Honami trapped in a magic circle. The alchemist reveals that he wants to create a homunculus with the tears of Honami, who is a rare sorceress with the ability to cry crystals. He plans to use the homunculus as a power source for his experiments.

The Astral members backup each other and spring into action, fighting against the alchemist to free Honami from the magic circle. Adelicia manages to destroy the crystal that the alchemist was going to use for his experiment, and Honami easily defeats the alchemist. However, the biggest surprise comes at the end when Guelph reveals his real identity.

The episode "Tears of the Homunculus" is an action-packed adventure filled with suspense, drama, and revelations.
