Rescue Vet is Animal Planets' newest reality series. The 14-part series written and directed by Jessie Anderson-Berens engages its viewers with both professional and personal views of emergency clinics and their responding teams in the heat of the moment. Veterinary Special Care, All Creatures Veterinary Clinic and Bees Ferry Clinic have allowed viewers to enter their special care units and get an up close and personal look at how they handle emergency situations. From the veterinarians working to save the animal to the family members awaiting and anticipating recovery, the show gives an in depth view from multiple vantage points. The show features not only cats and dogs but large and exotic animals as well. A horse, monkey, hedgehog, emu and miniature horse are just a few of the animals attempting to be rescued. With ailments ranging from tumors to colic, Rescue Vet captures a variety of emergency situations, which inform and engage viewers of all ages.
