Ep 5. Stung

Stung is the fifth episode of the second season of Rookie Blue, a Canadian police drama series. This episode follows the lives of the new generation of police officers who are fresh out of the police academy and are patrolling the streets of Toronto.

Andy McNally and Sam Swarek are sent to investigate a robbery at a pharmaceutical warehouse. But, as they start their investigation, they realize that they are getting more than they bargained for. One of the premises’ security guards is found dead inside the warehouse, and it becomes apparent that their robbery investigation has taken a dangerous turn.

Meanwhile, Dov Epstein and Chris Diaz are assigned a seemingly routine task of checking out a dog left in a parked car on a hot day. However, when they discover an unconscious woman in the car with the dog, their simple task turns into a major investigation. They soon discover a drug smuggling operation that extends all the way up to the highest levels of the Toronto police force.

Elsewhere, Gail Peck is tasked with escorting a convicted serial killer, Kyle Price, to attend his sister's wedding. But, as Gail and Price arrive at the wedding reception, they find themselves in the middle of a hostage situation where a man with a gun has taken Price's sister and her guests hostage.

As the day progresses, each of the officers finds themselves in a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. They must use their training and rely on their teammates to overcome each of the obstacles they face.

The theme of this episode is the importance of teamwork and trust. With each officer facing their own unique challenge, they must rely on their teammates to help them overcome each obstacle. The episode showcases the individual strengths of each character, but also shows how they rely on each other to stay safe and get the job done.
