Ep 1. Surprises

In season four, episode one of Rookie Blue, titled "Surprises," our favorite officers are back and better than ever. Back at the station, the team is tasked with investigating a series of burglaries in a wealthy neighborhood. Things take a turn when the suspects turn out to be a group of teenagers, one of whom is a boy that Detective Gail Peck recognizes from her save-the-street campaign. As the investigation unfolds, Gail struggles to reconcile her desire to see justice served with her compassion for the misguided teenagers.

Meanwhile, Detective Dov Epstein is dealing with his own set of surprises. After being asked to teach a self-defense class, he is surprised to discover that his star pupil is a young girl named Juliet who is struggling to cope with the recent death of her mother. Dov takes her under his wing and their bond deepens when Juliet reveals a shocking secret.

As the episode progresses, the team is forced to confront their own surprises and the unexpected twists that life can throw their way. Through it all, they must rely on each other and their unwavering dedication to keeping the city safe.
