Ruby Season 1 Episode 89 Ruby

Curtis strolls into an Indian market and finds Ruby shopping by the peas. Ruby is a cheerful woman with a big smile and classic beauty. She tells Curtis that she plans on cooking a birthday dinner for her friend Nico and would love Curtis' help. After picking up spices in the market, Curtis heads over to an international market to get fresh fish. Back at Ruby's downtown loft, Curtis and the crew take off their shoes and are greeted by Ruby's Lite-Brite "Welcome" sign. Ruby is very inquisitive during the cooking, but takes a break to blow a kiss to the camera for her boyfriend Josh, who just recently moved to New York. Later, the birthday girl arrives; Nico is truly surprised and, on seeing Curtis, exclaims, "Hey, I know you from that show on TV!" Nico's excitement is justified when Curtis serves curried cauliflower with cardamom and mustard, white fish with saffron and leeks, and four different kinds of ice cream with mango (and a candle) for dessert.
