Usagi and her friends have been noticing that a lot of people are disappearing lately without any explanation, and they all seem to be targeting those who are trying to lose weight. Meanwhile, Usagi is confronted by a gym teacher she doesn't like at school who is trying to make her exercise more. He gives her a flyer for a new weight loss clinic in town called "Run-Run Slimming".

Usagi, still upset from the encounter with her gym teacher, decides to check out the weight loss clinic with Luna, who advises against it but Usagi doesn't listen. The clinic looks suspiciously fishy, with no name on the door and just a drawing of a skinny person running. However, Usagi is greeted by a charming man named Yuuichirou who gives her a special offer to try out the clinic. Luna continues to be suspicious even when Usagi has lost 5 pounds after just one day.

Meanwhile, Naru's mother has also been caught up in the weight loss craze and is the latest to go to the Run-Run Slimming clinic. Naru, worried about her mother, decides to investigate the clinic herself and asks Usagi for help. Together, they sneak into the clinic and find out that it is run by a demon named Morga who is using it to drain human energy.

The Sailor Scouts arrive just in time to save Usagi, Naru, and her mother from being drained by the demon. In the ensuing battle, Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon for the first time and with the help of Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Jupiter they defeat the demon and the clinic is destroyed. In the end, Naru's mother is back to her old self and the girls realize that being healthy is more important than following fads.

Overall, "Slim City" is a lively and entertaining episode that promotes healthy body image and self-esteem. Along with the dramatic battle scenes and humor (such as Luna's skepticism), the episode offers a strong lesson for young viewers about the importance of self-acceptance and being happy with who you are. As the series progresses, Sailor Moon and her friends will continue to face challenges that ultimately empower them and inspire viewers to find their own inner strength.
