Sailor Moon season 2 episode 2, titled "So You Want to Be in Pictures," follows the Sailor Scouts as they go on a free trip to the Tokyo World Fair in order to film a promotional video showcasing the city's latest technological advances. The episode starts with Usagi being excited about being able to spend a day with Mamoru at the fair while the other scouts look forward to being able to explore all that the World Fair has to offer.

As they arrive at the fair, the scouts are approached by a young girl named Mie who is desperate to be in the promotional video. Mie is rejected by the film crew due to her age, but the scouts offer to help her in any way they can. Meanwhile, a group of identical-looking girls arrive in the fairgrounds and began causing chaos.

As they explore the fairgrounds, the scouts find themselves being followed by a mysterious figure. The figure is revealed to be a woman named Ami Mizuno, who is a famous child prodigy actress. Due to her fame, Ami finds it challenging to make friends her age and thus is delighted to befriend Usagi and the others. Together, Ami, the scouts, and Mie explore the World Fair's attractions and become fascinated with the technology and culture displayed there.

However, amidst all the excitement, the scouts soon find themselves in danger as the mysterious group of girls who were causing chaos earlier suddenly attack them. The attackers are revealed to be the "Dark Kingdom," a group of villains determined to take over the world by stealing energy from innocent people. Despite their cowardly ambush, the Sailor Scouts bravely fight off the attackers, showcasing their strength and powers.

As the day ends and the scouts prepare to leave, they realize that they failed to film any promotional video and are taken back to the fair to complete their task. However, their efforts lead to comedic results with Usagi's clumsy nature causing accidents. In the end, the gang find themselves becoming viral celebrities, with their unintentionally funny promotional video becoming a hit on social media.

Overall, episode 2 of Sailor Moon season 2 explores the theme of friendship and introduces a new character, Ami Mizuno.
