Ep 17. Related by Destiny

Sailor Moon season 3 episode 17, titled "Related by Destiny," follows the story of the Sailor Senshi as they try to uncover the truth about Sailor Saturn and her role in the upcoming battle against the Death Busters. The episode begins with a flashback to the past where two young girls are playing together and one of them reveals that she is Sailor Saturn. However, before the other girl can react, Sailor Saturn disappears.

In the present day, the Sailor Senshi are discussing the recent events and the appearance of Sailor Saturn. They are all worried about her and fear that she may be a threat to their mission. Despite this, Hotaru, the girl believed to be Sailor Saturn, reaches out to Chibiusa and asks her to be friends. Chibiusa is hesitant at first but eventually agrees.

Meanwhile, the Sailor Senshi continue their investigation into Sailor Saturn and discover that she is somehow related to Professor Tomoe, the leader of the Death Busters. They also find out that Hotaru is Professor Tomoe's daughter who was seriously injured in an accident and was subsequently turned into a cyborg by her father. This revelation shocks the Sailor Senshi and they are unsure how to proceed.

As they struggle to come to terms with this new information, they are suddenly attacked by the Witches 5, a group of powerful minions of the Death Busters. The Sailor Senshi put up a good fight but are eventually outnumbered. Just when it seems like all is lost, Sailor Saturn appears and destroys their enemies with a single blow.

After the battle, the Sailor Senshi try to talk to Sailor Saturn but she is unresponsive. It is then revealed that Sailor Saturn has two personalities: Hotaru, the kind and gentle girl who wants to make friends, and Sailor Saturn, the powerful and destructive Senshi who is destined to bring about the end of the world.

The episode ends with the Sailor Senshi unsure of what to do next, as they grapple with the revelation that Sailor Saturn is both an ally and a potential enemy.
