Ep 1. 1. Mahiru and Kuro

Mahiru Shirota is a high school student who just wants to live a simple life, but all that changes when he comes across a black cat in a cardboard box. He takes the cat home and names him Kuro, not realizing that he has just adopted a Servamp - a type of vampire that exists to serve its Master.

The next day, Mahiru is late for school and rushes out of his apartment, forgetting his bag. Kuro suddenly appears and offers to retrieve it for him. Mahiru reluctantly agrees and Kuro returns with the bag, but also five stray cats in tow. Mahiru is shocked, but Kuro nonchalantly explains that he likes to collect cats.

Later that night, Mahiru hears a commotion coming from the park and goes to investigate. He finds a group of vampires attacking a young girl, and while he initially tries to run away, he confronts them when he realizes that the girl is being used as bait to lure in stray vampires. Kuro appears and reveals that he is one of the Seven Deadly Servamps, specifically the Servamp of Sloth. He effortlessly takes out the vampires with his incredible strength and the girl, Misono Alicein, is impressed.

Alicein turns out to be a Servamp's Eve - someone who can contract with a Servamp and give them the name they need to awaken their true power. However, Alicein was betrayed by her previous Servamp, Hugh the Dark Algernon III, and is now on the run. She asks Mahiru to help her find the other Servamps so that she can gain their aid in defeating Hugh.

Mahiru is hesitant at first, but after seeing Kuro in action, he decides to help Alicein. Kuro sees this as a good opportunity for Mahiru to become his Master, so he agrees to join the search for the other Servamps.

The episode ends with Kuro and Mahiru sneaking into a high-security facility to retrieve information about the other Servamps. However, they are caught by a mysterious man who seems to know Kuro's true identity.

Overall, "Mahiru and Kuro" sets up the basic premise of the show and introduces the main characters. The episode is full of action, humor, and hints at a deeper storyline that will be explored in later episodes. It's a great start to an entertaining and engaging anime series.
