Ep 2. Episode 2

In Shameless season 8 episode 2, we continue to follow the ups and downs of the Gallagher family. Fiona is struggling to keep the laundromat afloat, as she deals with all the financial and managerial responsibilities that come with it. Meanwhile, Lip is determined to get his life back on track, but finds himself facing new challenges when his sponsor relapses and he's forced to navigate recovery on his own. Unsurprisingly, Frank is up to his usual schemes, as he attempts to swindle the local brewery out of some free beer.

Debbie is also struggling with her own issues, as she becomes more involved with her welding class and starts to question if she wants to pursue a career in the field. This internal struggle leads her to seek advice from one of her welding peers who is a successful woman in a male-dominated industry.

Elsewhere, Ian continues to fight for social justice, as he works to provide a safe space for youth in the LGBT community. His efforts are met with resistance from unexpected sources, but he refuses to back down.

As always, there are plenty of laughs and dramatic moments throughout the episode. We see characters make mistakes, face new challenges, and come together as a family to support one another. Overall, episode 2 does an excellent job of continuing the storylines introduced in the season premiere, while also introducing new conflicts and developments for all our favorite characters.
