  • March 4, 2009

Rima Mashiro, a new transfer student to Seiyo Elementary, had been acting distant and cold towards her classmates despite trying to blend in with them. She had always felt uneasy around people because of her bad experiences in her previous school. However, Amu Hinamori, the protagonist of Shugo Chara!, had managed to see through her facade and help her overcome her fear of socializing.

In Episode 46, Rima discovers that she has a Shugo Chara of her own. The Shugo Chara manifests from Rima's hidden desire to be a comedian, much to her chagrin. She finds the thought of performing in front of people terrifying but her Shugo Chara, KusuKusu, encourages her to embrace her hidden talent. KusuKusu also brings to light her true feelings for her classmates and how she wants to be friends with them, but is too shy to make the first move.

As Rima becomes more comfortable with the idea of becoming a comedian, KusuKusu's powers begin to manifest in the real world. Rima starts to tell jokes that no one laughs at until she accidentally uses KusuKusu's power to make everyone fall into uncontrollable fits of laughter. Overwhelmed by the sudden response, she runs away and contemplates if she should continue with her new-found passion or not.

Meanwhile, the Easter Company has once again devised a plan to retrieve the Embryo. They target Rima's newfound talent to create a spectacle that will draw attention away from their true intentions. By sending in a corrupted Shugo Chara, they hope to force Rima to reveal her powers and exploit her as a weapon to steal the Embryo.

Rima, still unsure of her abilities, falls right into their trap. The corrupted Shugo Chara, Musashi, forces Rima to reveal her power before using it to create chaos and destruction. As Rima's friends rush in to help, she finally realizes the true power behind her new passion. With the help of her Shugo Chara, she performs a skit that sends Musashi back into submission.

In the end, Rima overcomes her fear and embraces her newly found talent. She performs her first act in front of her classmates and becomes the talk of the school. Her friends rally behind her and support her newfound passion, and even the guardians of Seiyo Elementary are impressed by her courage. The episode ends leaving Rima with a newfound sense of confidence and a determination to continue pursuing her dreams.
