Ep 22. Little Chao Lost

Sonic X season 1 episode 22, titled "Little Chao Lost," follows Sonic and his friends as they try to find a lost Chao. The episode begins with Cream the Rabbit taking her pet Chao, Cheese, to the park to play with the other Chao. However, when Cream returns to the park bench, she finds that Cheese is missing. Sonic and Tails, on the other hand, are having no luck in their search. They decide to take a break and rest at a nearby waterfall. As they relax, they spot a group of robots flying overhead. Sonic is immediately suspicious and he and Tails follow the robots to a nearby factory. They realize that the robots are capturing Chao and taking them to the factory for some unknown reason.

The group finally reunites, and Sonic and Tails explain what they have discovered about the robots. Cream tells them about the Echidnas and the cave system, so they all decide to work together to solve the mystery of the missing Chao. They split up again, with Sonic and Tails heading to the factory to try and stop the robots, and Cream staying in the cave system to try and find Cheese.

As Sonic and Tails make their way through the factory, they find themselves in a control room where they discover that the robots are working for Dr. Eggman. The doctor has been collecting Chao to use as a power source for his latest invention. Sonic and Tails fight their way through the robots and manage to destroy the machine before it can be activated.

Meanwhile, Cream has been making her way through the cave system, following a trail of footprints that she assumes belong to Cheese. She finally reaches the end of the cave and finds a secret laboratory where Cheese and the other Chao are being kept. Cream manages to free Cheese and the other Chao, but she is caught by Eggman's minions before she can escape.

Sonic and Tails arrive just in time to rescue Cream and the Chao. They all make their way back to the park, where the Chao are reunited with their owners. The episode ends with everyone happy and relieved that the mystery of the missing Chao has been solved.
