Ep 1. Cougars and Cubs

As a society, we usually think of sex as something that falls into certain norms. But that’s not always the case. The show Strange Sex, takes a look at individuals who are having unusual sex experiences. It does this without passing judgment and simply presents the subjects as they are. In the first episode, titled Cougars and Cubs, Strange Sex introduces us to the world of cougars and cubs.

The show opens with a rundown of what cougars and cubs are. Cougars are older women who prefer sex with younger men. Cubs are the younger men that cougars seek out. Many people would take this as falling into the realm of personal preference, but to the people who identify as cougars or cubs, it's much more than that.

We are first introduced to a lady who calls herself Cougar Queen. She lives in Las Vegas and is a self-proclaimed cougar. She tells the story of how she got into cougars and cubs. Growing up, she was never one of the pretty girls, so she never got attention from boys. It wasn't until later in life, when she found herself newly single, that she began to explore. She discovers the cougar and cub lifestyle, and it changed her life.

Cougar Queen tells the camera she can have a different cub every night of the week. She enjoys the attention of younger men, and she doesn't like the way men her age treat women. Her lifestyle allows her to be in control and have fun. She also mentions that her children are quite accepting and supportive of her lifestyle.

The show then introduces us to a 20-year-old who identifies as a cub. He is attracted to older women and tells the camera he finds younger women too immature for him. He is currently seeing someone who is 40 years old, but he'd lost his virginity to a woman who was 46.

Another lady who identifies as a cougar introduces herself, she’s 41 years and has been dating cubs for about 10 years. She doesn't see herself in a serious relationship but loves having fun with younger men. One cub she's been seeing tells the camera he loves the idea of being with an older woman. He finds life in the bedroom with her exciting.

The show takes an interview from a sex therapist. He's asked if cougars and cubs is healthy for the people involved. He replies that people should be able to enjoy whatever they want sexually as long as they are consenting adults. As long as there is mutual respect, then there is nothing wrong with cougars and cubs.

The show also introduces us to a couple, who has been together 13 years. The wife, who is 57, is a cougar, and her husband, who is 36, is her cub. They tell how they fell in love when she was working in a restaurant, and he was her waiter. They've been together ever since, and they seem perfect for each other.

Later in the episode, the show goes to a cougar party. The party is held at a private home, and we see cougars and cubs mingling and having a good time. Some of the ladies are in their 60s, and they tell the camera, they love having young men around who are happy to please them.

One cub talks about how he's attracted to cougars because they know what they want in bed. Another man, who's called the king of cougars, is 67. He tells the camera he's been with over 900 cougars in his time. He’s retired but spends his days partying with women who are younger than his children.

The show ends with the sex therapist explaining again that as long as everyone is respectful and consenting, there's nothing wrong with cougars and cubs. The show goes into the lives of people who break the norm of sexual behavior. As unusual as it may seem, Strange Sex handles the topic tastefully and in a way that's easy to understand and follow.
