Ep 4. Livewire

As Supergirl struggles to fight Livewire, she receives help from Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan), the ex-girlfriend of Kara's crush, James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks). Lucy works for the military and has access to a device that can neutralize Livewire's powers. With Lucy's help, Supergirl is able to defeat Livewire and restore order to National City.

In addition to the Livewire storyline, the episode also explores the relationship between Kara and James. Kara is torn between her feelings for James and her duty as Supergirl. She confides in her sister Alex, who encourages her to be true to herself and follow her heart.
