As the season two finale of Superstore came to a close, Cloud 9 was left in shambles. The store was destroyed, but the employees remained hopeful that they would rebuild and be back in business soon. Superstore season 3 episode 1, Grand Re-Opening, picks up with the entire Cloud 9 team eagerly awaiting the store's grand re-opening.

The episode opens with a brief recap of the events leading up to the store's destruction, reminding viewers about the clash between the employees and the district manager, Jeff. We see a montage of the team working hard to prepare the store for its grand re-opening, with everyone chipping in to make sure everything is perfect. The team's excitement is palpable as they eagerly anticipate the store's big reveal.

The episode then jumps ahead to the morning of the grand re-opening. As the employees arrive at the store, they are greeted by a huge line of customers, all eager to see what's new at Cloud 9. The line stretches all the way out into the parking lot, and the employees are impressed by how many people have shown up ready to shop.

As the employees begin to interact with the customers, it's clear that some things have changed at Cloud 9. A new line of organic and eco-friendly products has been added, causing some customers to get confused and overwhelmed. We see some funny exchanges between the employees and customers as they try to make sense of the new products.

The store's grand re-opening also brings some changes to the team dynamic. Dina is now the store's acting manager and is determined to make sure everything runs smoothly. She's delegating tasks left and right and constantly barking orders at everyone. Jonah, meanwhile, is still reeling from his break-up with Amy and is struggling to find his place in the store now that he's no longer the assistant manager.

We also see Glenn adjusting to his new role as a father. His wife, Jerusha, has given birth to triplets, and Glenn is having a hard time balancing his new family responsibilities with his job at Cloud 9. We see a funny scene where Glenn tries to bring one of his babies to work with him, only to quickly realize that it's not going to be as easy as he thought.

As the day goes on, we see some more funny interactions between the employees and customers. Garrett has a hilarious exchange with a customer over the new eco-friendly products, and Cheyenne struggles to understand how to use a new self-checkout machine. We also see some tension between Jonah and Dina, as Dina continues to assert her authority and Jonah struggles to find his place in the store.

Throughout the episode, we see flashbacks to the events leading up to the store's destruction. We learn that Jeff, the district manager, played a role in the store's downfall, and we see some tense scenes between him and the employees. It's clear that there is still some unresolved tension between Jeff and the Cloud 9 team.

As the day comes to a close, the employees are exhausted but happy. The grand re-opening was a success, and the store is once again bustling with customers. However, as they close up shop for the night, there is a sense that things are not quite back to normal at Cloud 9. There are still unresolved tensions between some of the employees, and Jeff's actions continue to loom over the store.

Overall, Superstore season 3 episode 1, Grand Re-Opening, is a funny and heartwarming episode that sets up an exciting new season for the show. The characters are as lovable as ever, and it's clear that there are plenty of new plotlines and surprises in store for viewers.
