In season 3 episode 8 of Surfing the Menu, the hosts, Dan Churchill and Hayden Quinn, travel to Esperance in Western Australia in search of the best seafood, grains, and meats Esperance has to offer.

The episode kicks off with the duo visiting a local dairy farm to learn about how fresh milk is produced and getting a chance to milk the cows themselves. They then head over to a nearby grain farm where they grab some freshly harvested wheat to mill into flour for their baking project.

Next, they are off to the beach to catch some waves and surf before heading to the harbor to meet up with a local fisherman. They set out to sea to catch some crayfish and other local seafood, which they bring back to the shore to cook up a delicious seafood feast.

In the kitchen, Dan and Hayden team up with a local culinary expert to prepare an array of dishes including crayfish with citrus butter, seared scallops with sweet corn puree, and grilled rock lobster with garlic and herbs. They also bake some fresh bread using the flour they milled earlier in the day.
