Ep 3. Wujing

Reddington and Liz are investigating a Chinese spy known as Wujing. He is believed to be using his expertise in software and encryption to sell classified US government intel to foreign governments. In order to catch Wujing, Reddington and Liz arrange to buy one of his encrypted programs from a thieving cybercriminal known as Ranko Zamani.

As Reddington and Zamani prepare the deal, Liz discovers that Wujing is responsible for the deaths of four US agents. She realizes that the only way to apprehend Wujing is to lure him out of hiding, but they must first break the encryption on his communications to uncover his location.

While Reddington and Zamani are busy trying to crack the encryption, Cooper and Ressler are on Wujing's trail. They track down one of his associates, but their efforts are foiled when Wujing intercepts their communication and kills the associate.

Determined to stop Wujing before he strikes again, Liz takes matters into her own hands and arranges a meeting with him under the guise of a Chinese translator. During their meeting, Wujing reveals that he is working for a Chinese intelligence agency and that he has been ordered to kill her.

In a tense standoff, Liz fights off Wujing's henchmen and manages to escape with Reddington's help. Meanwhile, Cooper and Ressler discover Wujing's location and raid his hideout. In the ensuing shootout, Wujing is killed by Ressler.

At the end of the episode, Reddington reveals to Liz that he has a personal interest in taking down Wujing and that she can trust him to help her uncover the truth about her past.
