The Brady Bunch is an American sitcom that aired from 1969 to 1974, and revolves around the daily lives of a blended family of six children and their parents. In season 4, the Brady family goes on vacation to Hawaii, setting up the premise for the first episode, named "Hawaii Bound."

As the episode begins, the entire Brady family is packing their bags and preparing for their trip to Hawaii. Everyone is excited except for Marcia, who is sulking because her boyfriend, Harvey Klinger, can't come along. Meanwhile, Alice, the family's housekeeper, is feeling left out and is disappointed to be left behind.

Upon arriving in Hawaii, the family discovers that their hotel reservations have been cancelled and they have nowhere to stay. They manage to find a small, run-down hotel that can accommodate them. Although it's not exactly what they had hoped for, they make the best of it and begin to explore the island.

As they explore the island, they get into all sorts of trouble. Greg and Bobby try surfing, but end up causing a commotion and nearly drowning. Cindy gets lost in a cave, and Peter finds himself being chased by a wild boar. Despite the drama, the family manages to have a good time, with Mike and Carol enjoying romantic moments together and the kids immersing themselves in island culture and traditions.

One of the highlights of the episode is when the family attends a luau, a traditional Hawaiian party featuring food, music, and dancing. The kids are fascinated by the hula dancers and even join in on a performance. Meanwhile, Carol and Mike are left alone on the beach and have a heart-to-heart about how much they love each other.

The episode ends with a dramatic twist, as the Brady family's hotel suddenly catches on fire. They manage to escape unharmed, but their belongings and souvenirs are destroyed. Despite the setback, they remain optimistic and grateful for the experience they have had in Hawaii.

Overall, "Hawaii Bound" is a classic Brady Bunch episode that highlights the family's shared sense of adventure and tight bond, even in the face of unexpected challenges. It's a fun and heartwarming episode that is sure to delight fans of the show, and continues to be a beloved moment in television history.
