The Flash Season 5 Episode 13 Goldfaced

Barry and Ralph find themselves in a bind in the thirteenth episode of The Flash season 5, "Goldfaced." After being completely broke due to a recent mishap, the duo is forced to team up with an illegal arms dealer named Goldface in order to complete their next mission. However, things quickly become complicated when they discover that Goldface is planning a dangerous heist and want to ensure that Barry and Ralph keep quiet regarding his plans.

Meanwhile, Iris decides to write an article about the underbelly of Central City. Though she uses caution and discretion while carrying out her investigation, her post on the internet raises a few eyebrows amongst members of Team Flash, leading to a heated debate about journalistic integrity.

Back at the hideout where Goldface had taken Barry and Ralph, Caitlin and Sherloque begin to work on a plan to rescue their friends. They realize that their best shot at saving the day is by creating a meta-human dampener, which would neutralize Goldface's powers long enough to apprehend him and get Barry and Ralph out of harm's way.

Meanwhile, Barry and Ralph are in an increasingly difficult situation as Goldface makes them play dangerous games while he puts the finishing touches on his heist. He is interested in Ralph, who has been impersonating a criminal, and wants to know more about his accomplice's motivations. Barry tries to keep up his act as well, but he is quickly exposed and put on the spot.

Despite the danger that they are in, Barry and Ralph are not the only ones in trouble. Iris' investigation leads her down an unexpected path, and when she gets too close to the truth, she also finds herself in danger.
