The Flash Season 5 Episode 9 Elseworlds Pt. 1

In "Elseworlds Pt. 1," the fifth season of The Flash heats up in a major way as the Arrowverse's annual crossover event gets underway. Following the episode's opening scene in Central City, the story cuts to Arkham Asylum, where Dr. John Deegan (Jeremy Davies) has gone mad with power, using the Book of Destiny to rewrite reality in his own image. Major characters from Arrow and Supergirl are brought in on special assignment by Iris West-Allen, leaving Barry Allen and Cisco Ramon to figure out what's going on when their visiting friends don't recognize them at first.

The episode is packed with exciting moments, including a two-on-one fight between Green Arrow, Flash, and Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) that should have fans on the edges of their seats. Meanwhile, Caitlin Snow confronts an evil doppelganger with ties to her past, and the mysterious Dr. Deegan reveals just how far he's willing to go to reshape the world.
