The Friday Night Project was a British comedy show that aired on Channel 4 from 2005 to 2008. The show was hosted by two comedians, Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr, who brought their unique brand of humour to the program. Each episode featured a celebrity guest who would take part in various sketches, games and challenges.

One of the most popular segments of the show was called "Send to All", where the hosts would take the guest's phone and send a text message to all their contacts, with hilarious results. Other segments included "Celebrity Guess Who", where the guest had to guess the identity of a mystery celebrity, and "Impressionist Challenge", where guest impersonator Debra Stephenson would showcase her talents by impersonating various celebrities.

In addition to the main hosts and guest, the show also had a regular cast of supporting actors who would appear in sketches and parodies. These included Lee Mack, Catherine Tate and David Walliams, all of whom went on to achieve great success in their own right.

The Friday Night Project was renowned for its irreverent humour and willingness to push boundaries. The show frequently featured risqué and controversial material, which sometimes led to complaints from viewers. However, it was also praised for its originality and willingness to try new things.

One of the show's most infamous episodes was when the hosts pranked singer Mariah Carey by pretending that they had lost the audio for her live performance. This led to an awkward and uncomfortable exchange between the hosts and Carey, and became one of the most talked-about moments in the show's history.

Despite the controversy, The Friday Night Project remained popular throughout its run, and was widely regarded as one of the funniest and most original comedy shows on British television. Its success led to a spin-off show, The Sunday Night Project, which followed a similar format and also featured Collins and Carr as hosts.

The Friday Night Project came to an end in 2008, after four seasons and 61 episodes. Its legacy lives on, however, as one of the most iconic and memorable British TV shows of recent times.
