Adam and his friends decide to start a band after they watch the classic rock mockumentary 'This Is Spinal Tap.' While they struggle to find their sound, Beverly repeatedly interrupts their band practice to offer her own opinions and advice. Meanwhile, Barry struggles to make a decision about his future after he gets accepted into multiple colleges. Adam tries to help him by creating a pros and cons list, but Barry's anxiety continues to hold him back. Erica comes to the rescue by reminding Barry of a childhood dream he had and the two siblings bond over their shared desires to achieve their dreams. At the end of the episode, Adam and his band end up performing at a school assembly and Barry makes a bold decision about his future.
