When Beverly surprises Adam and Brea with plane tickets to Florida as an early graduation present, she's forced to admit that she wants them to help navigate the emotional turmoil of her father's death by sorting through his belongings. But by the time they settle in at Pops' Miami Beach condo, Beverly says she's fine and won't need their help after all. While Beverly is upset to discover that the mobility scooter she bought her dad is missing, she's really distraught to learn that, unlike Adam, she knew nothing about Pops' girlfriend, Charlotte. After looking through some of their old letters and photographs, Beverly becomes convinced that Charlotte stole the scooter. Meanwhile, upon learning that she failed her law school admissions exam while Barry aced his medical school test, Erica keeps her result a secret. Then, when Barry hesitates to use the Heimlich Maneuver to save a choking diner at the mall, Erica springs into action and is celebrated as a hero. Determined to get the scoot
