Ep 2. A Wicked Plot

John Brown and Onion continue their journey towards Harpers Ferry, where they plan to stage their anti-slavery rebellion. Along the way, they encounter a group of black freethinkers who provide them with shelter and supplies.

As John becomes increasingly paranoid about possible infiltrators in their group, he arranges a meeting with Frederick Douglass, hoping to persuade him to join their cause. However, Douglass is hesitant to participate in a violent uprising and urges John to pursue more peaceful solutions.

Meanwhile, Onion struggles with his own identity as a young black boy passing as a girl in order to avoid slavery. When he inadvertently reveals his true gender to a potential ally, he must grapple with the consequences and decide whether or not to reveal his secret to John and the rest of their group.

Tensions rise as the group reaches Harpers Ferry and begins to put their plan into action. As they prepare for battle, they must navigate the complexities of race, gender, and ideology within their own ranks, all while facing the threat of the approaching army of the United States.
