Ep 2. That's a NoNo!

Dr. Jan Pol is back with another exciting episode of his hit show, The Incredible Dr. Pol. In season 16, episode 2, entitled "That's a NoNo!," Dr. Pol and his team tackle some of their toughest cases yet.

The episode kicks off with Dr. Pol and his wife Diane driving out to a farm to see a horse with an abscess. The horse, named Misha, has a swollen leg and blood on her hoof. Dr. Pol goes to work, slicing into the abscess to drain pus, and then flushing it with a iodine solution. Misha is a gentle horse, but Dr. Pol explains the risks of working with injured animals.

Next, Dr. Pol and Dr. Emily investigate a case involving two cats with a case of cat scratch fever. Dr. Emily takes blood samples from the cats to determine if they have the disease, while Dr. Pol explains how to prevent infection from cat bites. Dr. Emily eventually finds out what caused the fever and sets out a plan of action to help the cats recover.

In another case, a baby goat named Happy is brought in with a broken leg. Dr. Pol and his team figure out a way to mend the leg, but the process is labor-intensive and requires some creativity. The team bands the leg up to allow it to heal properly.

Later on, Dr. Pol and the team help a pig with a large scrotal hernia. This issue has caused the pig to have trouble walking. Dr. Pol has to use his expertise to perform a surgical procedure to repair the hernia and remove the injured tissue. In the end, the pig is able to walk freely once again.

Lastly, Dr. Pol and his son, Charles, deal with a stubborn duck with a case of bumblefoot. Bumblefoot is a bacterial infection in the foot of a duck that causes swelling and discomfort. Dr. Pol shows how to correctly clean the foot, apply antibiotics, and make homemade special boots to protect the injured foot. It takes some teamwork, but the duck is able to recover fully.

Throughout the episode, Dr. Pol and his team display their expertise in dealing with difficult cases. They handle each animal with care and respect, showing their passion for animal health. As always, Dr. Pol's dedication to the well-being of animals is unwavering, and his efforts continue to amaze viewers season after season.
