Filmed live in front of an audience in the back of Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles, Jonah Ray an Kumail Nanjiani provide their viewers with some of the strangest up and coming comic acts around. You may know Jonah and Kumail from their interview podcast, The Nerdist, which airs weekly.

This comic duo brings their antics to the stage as they serve as hosts for a variety of stand-up comedians. Each episode features various entertainers who perform their acts around a central theme such as bad jobs, childhood crushes, or betrayal. The performers range from typical stand-up comedians, to songwriters, to bizarre character actors. There is generally a large amount of audience interaction, with some performers basing their entire performance around audience members.

Guests have included well-known comedians such as Jim Gaffigan, Eugene Mirman, and Marc Maron as well as lesser known artists. Jonah and Kumail also provide glimpse into the conversations of guests and friends backstage during the show.
