The Monkees season 2 episode 22, titled "Monkees in Paris" (a.k.a. "The Paris Show"), takes the audience on a whirlwind adventure through the City of Light. The episode opens with the Monkees receiving a telegram inviting them to Paris to receive an award for their contribution to the musical world. Excited but unsure of what to expect, the Monkees board a plane and head to France.

Upon arriving in Paris, the Monkees find themselves in the middle of a romantic and beautiful city. The episode is filled with stunning shots of the Eiffel Tower, the Seine River, and other iconic Paris sights. However, it's not all sunshine and roses for the Monkees. They quickly find themselves at the mercy of a scheming hotel manager who tricks them into signing a contract that requires them to perform at his establishment.

The Monkees make the best of the situation, though, and prepare for their show by exploring the city and getting into all sorts of shenanigans. Davy Jones, in particular, finds himself falling for a beautiful French girl named Collette. She agrees to show him around the city, but their date is interrupted by a group of Italian mobsters who mistake Davy for someone else. Chaos ensues as the Monkees try to evade the mobsters and keep their show on track.

Meanwhile, Peter Tork is on a mission to find the perfect hat to wear for their performance. He stumbles upon a shop run by a quirky French woman who helps him find the perfect hat and even gives him a French lesson. Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith, on the other hand, get lost in the city and find themselves in a wild motorcycle chase through the streets of Paris.

Despite all of the chaos and mishaps, the Monkees manage to pull off an unforgettable show at the hotel. They perform a number of their hit songs, including "I'm A Believer" and "Pleasant Valley Sunday," and the crowd goes wild. The episode ends with the Monkees reflecting on their time in Paris and the amazing experiences they had.

Overall, "Monkees in Paris" is a delightful and entertaining episode that captures the essence of the Monkees' zany personalities. The stunning Paris scenery, hilarious hijinks, and catchy music make it a must-watch for fans of the show.
