Ep 1. Of Friends and Frenemies

The Real Housewives of Dallas, season 4 episode 1 titled Of Friends and Frenemies, starts off with a bang as the ladies of Dallas return with new challenges and drama-filled relationships. The episode opens up with the cast members reuniting in what is to be another season full of betrayal, love, and of course, drama.

We are introduced to the established cast which includes, Brandi Redmond, Kameron Westcott, LeeAnne Locken, Stephanie Hollman, and D'Andra Simmons, all ready to pick up where they left off in Season 3. The audience is also introduced to two new faces, Kary Brittingham and Leeann's best friend, Kary's.

As the episode unfolds, the viewers catch up on what the ladies have been up to since we last saw them, and the conversations quickly turn towards the disclosure of certain group dynamics while parties and events are attended by some of the housewives.

As always, some of the ladies are on cordial terms with each other while others are not as friendly. The ever bubbly Brandi Redmond is no stranger to controversy and picks up where she left off in season 3 with her raunchy humor and sometimes inappropriate comments. Meanwhile, on the other end of the dynamic spectrum, LeeAnne Locken has embraced the role of a bride-to-be and is focused on planning her upcoming nuptials but not without some haters bringing her down.

D'Andra Simmons has taken over her family's multimillion-dollar skincare line, but her relationship with LeeAnne comes under scrutiny. Stephanie Hollman and her husband's moving situation brings them closer but puts them in the public eye, attracting folks keen on interacting with them for their newfound fame.

The new additions to the cast, Kary and Kary's, bring new perspectives to the show, with Kary's Brazilian background and personality pleasantly surprising most of the women, especially Kam who takes a liking to her. Kary's, on the other hand, brings a dynamic friendship with LeeAnne, which the other ladies find suspicious, suspecting that there is more than meets the eye.

As the episode draws to a close, the drama heats up as the ladies start to confront one another. A dinner at an upscale restaurant quickly turns into an argument about who is the boss in their friendship, with both LeeAnne and D'Andra wanting to take the leading roles in their friendship. The ladies' discussion quickly turns to D'Andra's propensity to be a know-it-all and how that affects the other housewives.

Overall, season 4 seems like it will be an explosive, drama-filled season, with the new additions to the cast breathing fresh life into the show. The returning cast members have already brought the intra-group conflict, creating an early vision of the high drama season to come. It remains to be seen whether these women can manage to keep their friendships intact or will they succumb to the ever so tantalizing drama.
