The gang is on a road trip in the Mystery Machine when they stop at an ice cream stand. The owner, the Bad Humor Man, is in a terrible mood and ends up kicking them out. Suddenly, a ghostly figure appears and chases them away from the stand. Later, the gang realizes that they left their map behind and must go back to retrieve it.
When they return to the stand, they find that the Bad Humor Man has disappeared and the place is now haunted by the ghostly figure they encountered earlier. The gang is determined to solve the mystery and figure out who or what is behind the ghostly apparition.
As they investigate, they discover clues that the Bad Humor Man had many enemies and that he may have been involved in some shady business dealings. They also learn that the ghost is not actually a ghost, but a robot built by the Bad Humor Man's former partner.
The partner had built the robot to scare away the Bad Humor Man's customers and force him out of business so that he could take over the ice cream market. The robot had malfunctioned, causing it to go rogue and attack anyone who came near the stand. The partner had since disappeared, leaving the robot to continue terrorizing the area.
The gang works together to dismantle the robot and bring the Bad Humor Man's former partner to justice. In the end, the owner of the ice cream stand is grateful to the gang for solving the mystery and saving his business.
As always, Scooby-Doo and the gang use their wits and sleuthing skills to solve yet another mystery, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end.
