Seattle is a city that's quickly gaining fame for its incredible food scene. In the tenth episode of The Zimmern List, host Andrew Zimmern takes viewers on a culinary tour of this Pacific Northwestern gem, showing off some of his favorite dining spots and highlighting the city's unique food culture.

The episode starts off with a walk through Seattle's iconic Pike Place Market, which has been a local institution since it first opened in the early 1900s. Zimmern visits some of the market's top vendors, including a coffee roaster and a fishmonger, to sample some of the freshest and most flavorful offerings the city has to offer.

Next, Zimmern takes us to a cozy breakfast spot called Beth's Cafe, which has been serving up giant omelets and other hearty fare for decades. The menu at Beth's is extensive, but Zimmern recommends going for the house specialty: a 12-egg omelet stuffed with a variety of meats and veggies.

After breakfast, Zimmern heads to the trendy Capitol Hill neighborhood to check out some of the area's new and upcoming restaurants. One of the highlights is a place called Stateside, which serves up Vietnamese-inspired cuisine with a Pacific Northwest twist. One of the standout dishes Zimmern tries is a roasted pork belly served with pineapple and a house-made fish sauce.

Another Capitol Hill hot spot is a place called The Walrus and the Carpenter, which Zimmern describes as one of the best oyster bars in the country. The restaurant sources its seafood from Washington's own Puget Sound and serves up a rotating selection of fresh oysters. Zimmern also recommends trying the marinated mussels and the fried oyster sliders.

For dinner, Zimmern heads to Din Tai Fung, a world-famous Taiwanese chain that opened its first U.S. outpost in Seattle. The restaurant is known for its delicate xiao long bao, or soup dumplings, which are meticulously crafted by hand. Zimmern tries a variety of dumplings, including a pork and truffle variety that he describes as "life-changing."

The episode ends with Zimmern sampling some of Seattle's famous coffee. He visits a number of top-notch roasters and cafes, including Victrola Coffee and Espresso Vivace, to learn about the city's specialty coffee culture. He even tries a drink called a Cortado Con Leche, which is made with espresso and house-made condensed milk.

Overall, the Seattle episode of The Zimmern List is a mouthwatering exploration of this vibrant and diverse city. From classic breakfast dishes to cutting-edge seafood, viewers get a taste of everything Seattle has to offer. Zimmern's enthusiasm for the food is contagious, and it's clear that he has a true passion for exploring the world through its cuisine.
