Throwdown with Bobby Flay is a cooking competition show where famous chef Bobby Flay challenges members of the community who are known to be experts in a particular dish, to a cook-off. In season 1, episode 2 of the show, Bobby Flay challenges three wedding cake bakers to see who can create the best wedding cake.

The first contestant Bobby challenges is Jamie Grbac from the Frostings Cake Company in Lake Forest, California. Frostings Cake Company is one of the most popular wedding cake bakers in southern California. Jamie is confident that her unique flavor combination and handcrafted details will give her a win.

The second contestant to take on Bobby's challenge is Cheryl Kleinman, owner of Cheryl Kleinman Cakes in Brooklyn, New York. Cheryl comes from a long line of bakers and has been making cakes since she was a child. She is known for creating out of the box designs that are both beautiful and delicious.

The final challenger is Sylvia Weinstock from Sylvia Weinstock Cakes in New York City. Sylvia has been the go-to wedding cake baker for celebrities for over 30 years and has baked cakes for some of Hollywood's biggest names like Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart. Sylvia prides herself on using the freshest ingredients and creating cakes that look like pieces of art.

In the episode, these talented bakers are given a list of ingredients and have three hours to create a stunning wedding cake that not only looks beautiful but tastes delicious. Bobby Flay can only use his skills and knowledge to create the cake but cannot use his team's help, and the challenger is allowed to use their team. At the end of the three hours, the cakes are judged in a blind taste test by a panel of expert judges, and the winner is chosen.

The first contestant, Jamie Grbac, created a wedding cake with four tiers. Each tier's decorations were different, representing the evolution of love. The bottom tier was decorated with elegant scrollwork, and the middle tier had a modern, clean design. Jamie added some fun and unique accents like a mini bouquet, a bird's nest, and even a tiny birdhouse.

Cheryl Kleinman's elegant cake had three tiers, each with a different flavor. The bottom tier was a rich chocolate cake with raspberry filling, the middle tier was a vanilla cake with lemon curd, and the top tier was a carrot cake with cream cheese filling. The cake was decorated with beautiful 3D flowers and lace detailing in shades of pink and peach.

Lastly, Sylvia Weinstock created a cake with five layers, each layer with a different flavor and matching frosting. The cake was decorated with elegant sugar flowers and immaculate details. The judges were blown away by the flavors and details and couldn't see how Bobby Flay could top it.

The cakes were judged based on taste, presentation, and overall creativity. The judges took their time critiquing each cake and ultimately crowned the winner. One contestant is declared the winner of the challenge, but as always on Throwdown With Bobby Flay, all of the contestants have the chance to learn from one of the most respected chefs in the country.

Overall, the episode was full of suspense and creativity. It showcased some of the most talented bakers in the wedding industry, and all of them brought their A-game. Wedding Cake is a must-watch episode for all baking enthusiasts and food lovers alike.
