Top Secret Recipe is a television show centered around taking the mystery out of recreating favorite foods from famous, or well-known, restaurant. The show's host uses his five senses to figure out the "secret ingredients" that make famous foods so popular. The host uses a variety of ways to find out how the food is prepared. This is done by visiting restaurants and investigating as many details about the dish he's researching.

From talking to workers, watching preparations, and sometimes eavesdropping, the search isn't over until the famous dish is recreated as close to the original as possible. Once the dish is re-created, the knock-off dish is judged along with the original.

The goal of the show is to learn how to make famous menu items from popular restaurants and to recreate them at home. The show engages the audience from the investigative process to the actual finished dish.
