Triple D Nation Season 1 Episode 3 Sammies, Snacks and Seafood
- August 17, 2018
Triple D Nation season 1 episode 3 takes viewers on a journey to some of the best eateries serving up sandwiches, snacks, and seafood across America. Host Guy Fieri revisits some of the standout dishes that have been featured on his show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" in the past.
First stop is the Love Handle in Indianapolis, where Guy takes a bite of their popular Korean pork sandwich, which is made with a juicy and flavorful pork belly that's been marinated in Korean flavors and then roasted to perfection. The sandwich is served on a buttery toasted brioche bun and topped with pickled veggies and house-made slaw. Next, Guy visits the Butchertown Grocery in Louisville, Kentucky, where he samples their take on the classic BLT. Here, the sandwich gets a delicious upgrade, thanks to the addition of crispy fried green tomatoes and a slathering of spicy jalapeño bacon jam.
Moving on to snacks, Guy heads to Tilia in Minneapolis to try out their delicious fried chicken wings, which are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They're served with a tangy buffalo sauce and a side of creamy blue cheese slaw. The next snack on the list is the famous cheese curds from the Old Fashioned in Madison, Wisconsin, which Guy can't seem to get enough of. These little nuggets of cheesy goodness are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside and are served with a side of house-made ranch.
Finally, Guy makes his way to the coast to sample some of the best seafood dishes around. He starts off at the Florabama Lounge in Perdido Key, Florida, to try their famous crab cakes, made with jumbo lump crabmeat and served with a side of tangy slaw. He then heads to The Original Oyster House in Gulf Shores, Alabama, where he samples their fried shrimp po' boy, which is piled high with plump and juicy Gulf shrimp and served on a toasted hoagie roll.
Throughout the episode, Guy reminisces about his past visits to these eateries and catches up with some of the chefs to see how their restaurants have grown and expanded since appearing on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." Triple D Nation season 1 episode 3 offers a mouth-watering journey through some of the most delicious and memorable dishes featured on the show.
